The fourth season of CanPL wraps up on Sunday at 6pm ET with an all-Ontario final between Ottawa and Hamilton.
I had long-time Ottawa observer Kevin Elder on Twitter Spaces to talk about the final from an Ottawa perspective today. You can listen here.
They say styles make fights and that may be the case here, with an Ottawa side that prides itself on solid defensive play, versus a Forge team that has played by the seat of their pants all year. They have also been the little girl with the curl — when they are bad they are bad, but when they are good they are great — with Ottawa being a measure in consistency.
Unknown yet is whether Kyle Bekker, the CanPL’s all-time appearance leader, will be part of the festivities. Forge has appealed his red card suspension.
Look for a more detailed preview in this space tomorrow, but for now have a listen to my wide-ranging conversation with Kevin about where Ottawa sits heading into the final.
